About Crystal Clear Insurance LLC
Hi, my name is Crystal, and I am the owner of Crystal Clear Insurance. I started my insurance career back in 2019 as a producer, meeting with clients, presenting quotes and being their point of contact. About two years into my career, my boss asked me to put my book of business and clients on hold and move into the marketing department. The marketing department would take our client’s needs to the marketplace and find the best policies for their needs. While working in the marketing department, I learned how to negotiate deals (on behalf of the client), and carrier’s appetites, but most importantly, I built strong relationships with brokers and carriers. After spending a year in the marketing department, I moved back into my producer role.
In the three years at that agency, there were a few things I noticed about other agents. First, many agents sold policies and didn’t manage programs for their clients. Second, agents didn’t explain and/or educate their clients on coverages, transfer of risk, and how to mitigate claims. Third, clients always seemed like they could never get ahold of their agent. I have always had a passion for helping others and a desire to get them into a better place than they were before we met. This is when I realized I wanted something bigger and better, which led me to starting Crystal Clear Insurance in 2022.
When I started my agency, I knew I wanted to offer something to clients that no other agency did- compassion, education, and a true partnership. I wanted to truly understand client’s needs, then build programs for them by thinking outside of the box. I wanted these programs to save my clients money without giving up coverage and so much more. Since I already had strong relationships built with carriers and brokers, I knew exactly where to go. I educated myself to know the marketplace like the back of my hand. Based on the strong relationships built with various brokers and carriers, if I needed something taken care of for my client, they would do it.
I found programs for moving companies, self-storage facilities, newly built shopping centers, and industrial parks. These were all markets that were facing premium hikes and non-renewals. I learned how to break buildings off schedules to save clients’ money in the ever so high property market. I learned how to get buildings to fit within certain carriers’ appetite to open the marketplace. I will visit locations to understand exactly what operations are being performed inside warehouses to make sure they are classified properly. I spend time getting to know clients and their wants and needs. I write up detailed narratives on clients and on claims to paint a picture. Then I sit down and talk to clients and explain coverages, gaps in coverages, options they have, and ways I want to move in the marketplace to put them in a better position, truly operating as a team. If I don’t have a carrier that can provide solutions to my client’s needs, I will find one that will. In the short time I have owned my agency, I have helped many clients understand insurance, understand what they are paying for, helped save them money, found them better coverage, and answered my phone when they needed me or had questions or concerns.
The things that set us apart from other agencies are education on the marketplace, knowledge about different class codes, helping mitigate claims to keep premiums down, and having a mind that isn’t narrow.
